QuoteMCN will be the first people in the world to ride the new 155bhp Ducati Streetfighter at the Ascari racetrack in Spain on Tuesday morning.

MCN editor Marc Potter will be riding the 1098-powered motorcycle on Tuesday morning, and we want to know what questions you want to ask the factory.

The bike is the most powerful naked motorcycle ever made by the Bologna factory, with a claimed 155bhp at 9500rpm from the 1099cc V-twin. It also makes a claimed 85ft-lb of torque.

Factory insiders say the men running in the bikes for the world launch claim it has far exceeded their expectations. But they would say that, they work for Ducati.

The motorcycle is also the first naked Ducati road bike to feature fully adjustable traction control, similar to the system developed for the Desmosedici RR road bike, something it is highly likely to need if the power claims are true.

Ducati claims the motorcycle is a modern interpretation of the Streetfighter movement of the eighties, combined with Ducati's style and design. It also scooped the 'best-looking bike' award at the recent Milan Motorcycle Show in November.

We'll put the Ducati factory's claims to the test on Tuesday morning when we ride the bike. Click back for more updates as it happens from the world riding launch.
Send us your questions and we'll put them to the men behind the 155bhp naked 1098.

Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

I saw it at Daytona/Ducati Island. I must admit, it looks way better in person than the photos.

Agreed! Sad to see they ditched the red frame on the 1198 too! Black with red frame was my fav.

I think the lower piece of bodywork needs to be matte black regardless of the color of the bike.

Saw the Streetfighter last December in Seattle Motorcycle Show.  I would have to say it looks much better in person and it's starting to grow on me.

I'm liking it too.  At 167 kgr. + 15lb. battery, 25 lbs. fuel and 4 to 6 lbs. water that's like 414 lbs.  That means under 400 lbs. with light weight pipes and mufflers and taking off any unnecessary stuff.

So kitted, well tuned and as light as you can get is something like 150 rwhp and just less than 400 lbs. That's some kick ass specs.  Of course for $18,500 plus $3000 for the kit it should be some kick ass specs.

Still feel like Ducati is cheating us out of 15 HP from the 1198 engine.  Yea, I know, 150 enough. ;D
