Was riding home late monday night. It was about 11:30 or so. Went into a right and turn about 20 and the next thing i knew i was on my feet and the bike was on her side. I dont really remember much other then that. I think once i hit the ground, i stood right back up. We the tank is dented, the hi-rise termi is scratched up as well as the frame slider, barends, lost my peg and bend the heck out of my rear break. What ever thats called that the pegs is on is cracked. The rear turn signal is gone and the seat cowl is now scratched up. Im ok, the jacket got some road rash and so did my legs... But ill live. all because i wanted to ride alittle more. Need to take it to insurance and see if she's totaled... Man what a week....

Sorry man. I did the same thing last year. Went down in some gravel on the ST and found out that plastic is expensive. I feel for you. You'll be back on in no time. M

Not too worry man. This happens to the best of us. The main thing is that your're ok. What model is your bike? Let me know. May have some spare parts for you if need be.

That sucks to hear bro, that's why get insurance. Good luck with all that.
You didn't elaborate much on the circumstances of your get-down. If you dont mind, why did you go down? something in the road? chain lube get on your tire?

Thanks all Sorry, my break was over at work and my boss was spying on us...lol Its a 2001 S4, that ive only had 36 days. Only put 400 miles on her. I went down because of sand. Didnt see it, and went to gas out of the turn and the next thing i knew. I was looking down at my bike. Ive got gap, and full coverage on the bike. So if they do total it out ill get another one next year. Its just sad it happen so soon. Also i just sold my 600 dark two days before or i could have just ridden that for the time being. But thats my luck

sorry about the get off. glad you're ok. i may have a foot peg mount thingy to replace your newly cracked one. i may also have a brake pedal, but i may have given that one away by now. let me know if you need it and i'll check. FYI - the cost for a new steel tank is about $1800. Minus the standard deductible of $500, equals about $1300 - the price of a carbon fibre Ducati Performance tank.

Sorry boss. Sounds like you had a rotten night. Maybe it isn't as bad as it feels.
Tell us how your frame sliders worked out; what kind, did they bend the frame or crack the motor. There has been a debate since the beginning of Monster history as to whether frame sliders are effective or destructive.
Keep your chin up- at least you weren't hurt seriously.

Not sure what im going to do yet. I love the bike, and miss it already. About the frame sliders, i think they were T-rex or something like that. I have even checked to see if it hurt the motor or not. I do know it runs fine....I rode it home. Just didnt have a peg for my foot or rear breaks. The worst thing is i just spend the 350 bucks on tags and taxs two that friday. Being the broke college student i am. Might just have them total it and wait till i get a real job to get another bike. what a sad time it is...
