It wasn't like that when you bought it.

Most people don't notice stuff like that when they pick up their new bike...it's human nature.

My experience has been that there is some waviness in that area on the plastic tanks. I've seen it more commonly on the other side and assumed it was a funky mold.

I just saw a bike on Saturday that I painted exactly a year ago...

it's not how it was when I delivered it to the customer, and the bulge in yours is not the waviness that I've seen on all of the plastic tanks.

Sorry.

Yes, it is bad. Very Bad. Any one with 2 monsters in their driveway has a serious medical condition. I think it is called "monsteritis". I've heard the symtoms are uncureable and range in severity. And unlike many deseases, most of us on the board wish we had this problem.

Nate,

While we at Eric's I noticed the waviness too. I am assuming you're referring to the orange bike.

What do you think causes that? Heat from the motor?
I've been wallowing in my own chaotic and insecure delusions.

Yup, the orange Monster.

I think it's definitely heat. Seems to be 'growing' from the area near the vertical cylinder.

I do have 2 but the one in the pic belongs to a friend of mine.  And you are right, there is no cure.

The heat thing is very interesting.  When I first got her I did have the joy f 305F on the temp display.  I wonder....

if you talk about the bulge in the lower part of the tank (knee area), i've got the same thing on my s2r (and my tank just got replaced a year ago).
if you feel behind it ,left and right you will notice that the tank is not the same on both side (my call is that is just a molding thing)
be interresting to hear from other s*r owners .
let us know what you find out about the bulg.

Yes. You need an intervention. Please leave your Monst.....ahem...children with me while I hope you recover.........at your own pace.....which should be long because you might need more time to recover.  ;)
