Poker Run

There is going to be a poker run put on by the Fort Bragg Lions club (Which I have no interest in)  I have never been on a poker run and I bet most of you haven't either. But if you have please share your experience here because I have only a vauge IZ_ Idea that this is something bikers used to do in the 70's. So I'm going to check it out.
It happens July 26th & the start time is between 9Am & 11Am. I suppose its some sort of staged start.

Oh it costs $30 clams but comes with BBQ dinner and some sort of prizes for 1st 2nd & 3rd.

Well basically they hand out a map of where there are "check-in" stations, where you will receive a random card. You build the best hand you got with the cards you get and see what happens by the time you hit the last check-in and they do the prizes. That's pretty much how every one I have been to is done.

Bummer, won't be back from vaca in time. Tell us how it is/goes...
