Anyone ever thought of maybe vacuum forming a tank; maybe in two or three peices and making a cheap cover ( maybe lined w/ thin layer of foam) to either protect against a slow lowside at the track, cover up some unsightly dings/scratches, or just change color style every once in a while?

Just a thought as I was thinking about making a simple vacuum table to mold  or make a glass mold of a seat cowl. I want to make one w/some raised sections like some of the new 696 ones and integrating some 1W led`s for brake and turn signals.

( I shouldn`t give out my ideas so easily, but I`m sure it`s been thought of before)
