jacket suggestion for tall/skinny rider?

Looking for a leather jacket, but most sizing charts look like the jackets will leave me short on the arms
and too deep in the chest. this really sucks in a bike because the jacket will fill up like a balloon

any suggestions? im 6'2+  ~160lbs and 35inch chest. not sure if im measuring my arm right, but from
collarbone to wristbone im about 32-33 inches

sizes generally give me the option of 38-40 inch chest with 33inch arms or  .........36-38inch chest 31 arms

I have a somewhat similar build.. The best experience I had was going to a Dianese D-store.. Every size and color of every product they make. It allowed me to compare and contrast and find the best fit. There are only a few around the country though.. Check their website.

Euro manufacturers in general will have slimmer cuts.  But they also design their clothes for midgets.  And you ain't no midget.  You might need to go custom.  For $700, you can get a sweet custom jacket.

If the $ of custom are killing you, the best priced custom gear I've seen around are TILT custom suits.  They're sold locally here in the Bay Area, but you can order them over the phone or email.  A 1 or 2 piece is $425.  I have no FHE with the suits and can't speak the quality at all.  However, I can point you to a bunch online reviews of people with FHE with them, including many crash reviews with aftermath photos, both on and off the track.

I'm in the same predicament as the OP, I'm 6'2" tall about 170lbs and can't find a jacket that fits right, the jackets are always too short through the torso section.  I've been to a few stores and tried on a bunch of jackets.  Went to Chaparral in San Bernardino yesterday and found 1 jacket that came close to fitting it was called, Scorpion EXO Eternity Jacket (tall size).  So far though, Dainese seems to have fit the best and I don't mind shelling out some bucks for it either.  Does any body have any other recommendations?  I want a leather jacket with the sport bike cut or would settle for a textile/leather mix.

Some Dainese jackets are cut differently and a bit more accomodating. I'm 6'2" 170-175 lbs and I wear a size 50 Dainese R-Twin (new jacket from their vintage collection). I had a Stripes jacket that just was too short in the torso so I finally went and got the R-twin. It's only for street riding, when I want to hustle a little bit I'm always in the suit (Dainese size 52 off the rack fits well). But just like everything (duh) some cuts are longer or slimmer, or wider, etc.

It's worth it to try them on in person, but if you post what jackets catch your eye I can tell you if I've tried them on and how the cut felt.

Wear a back protector. That'll make it so you can wear some larger chest sized jackets.

I know Rev'It makes tall sizes.

I can't comment about the height as I'm a couple inches shorter, but do have freakishly long arms. Dainese 54-56 depending on the jacket fit me very well, even with the arm length issues. They do seem to have a slimmer fit model than the American jackets.

But of course, trying stuff on is the real final arbiter.

I had Vanson. Thick leather quality made but falling behind the times. They remind me a bit of HD at this point - a little too much reliance on the name and not enough innovation. It's not a bad product, but at this point I think there's better value for your $

Cool, thanks for the input.  I haven't tried on any Vanson jackets yet but a lady helping me at another store said that Vanson will actually tailor the jacket you buy from them, for a fee of course....however according to her, they are 6 months behind.  I'll keep an eye out for the Dainese R-Twin as I am planning on visiting the Dainese store in Orange County on Sunday.  I think that store should have something that fits me.

I'm currently using a Dainese jacket, size 52, and size 50 pants.
I'm 6'1" 165 lbs.

They zip together, torso length and arm length are fine.
The jacket is a bit roomy, but with a back protector, and electric vest in winter, it's fine.

Thx speeddog, something that zips together would ultimately be what I want just incase I decide to do some track days.  On another note, once I get some free time I will be dropping my bike off at Valley Desmo to get some work done.
