Not a fan of the saddle bags on a sportbike.  It's just wrong...  Just like below.

OMG that's my buddies car back in NY.

You forget all about the hitch doin 120+ around Watkins Glen.

What a fun little car. [thumbsup]

what's wrong with saddle bags on a sportbike?

I'd like to see pics with them off, but with a tall screen and a big efi tank it would be a great streetbike.

Why even ask such a question? Granted, anyone can do anything they darn well please to any bike but I truly believe if you are going to go that route then do it with an ST or a MTS. Of course YMMV.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Hey, if you don't like the hardbags on the 1098...here's a novel idea: DON'T BUY THEM.
Passing judgment on others is silly.

Wow...we have some close minded people around here. I love the bags. Not for everyday ofcourse but add those, the larger tank, and a set of heli bars (~3K total) and your impractical SBK just turned into a bad ass sport tourer. Hells yeah!!  [thumbsup]

All I was saying was the bags aren't my cup of tea.  That doesn't make me close minded...  does it?  I don't really like the color pink, don't like the taste of eggplants, don't care for the Hummer and Toyota line of cars.  Am I close minded?

Sorry, I don't love the 1098 with bags on them...  Just as I don't love sports cars with trailers...

Not to pick on you but.....do you have a better suggestion for a porsche to go to the track with track rubber?
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
