Inconvenient?...absolutely.

Sucks would be if they told you they weren't going to fix it. Wink

Welcome to a Ducati.
We all pay a price for getting to go fast AND make a lot of noise AND look cool doing it.
At least Ducati is footing the bill (for now).
They will get it fixed and it will all be worth it.

its the inconvenience of it, any brand might have similar problems isolated issues or what have you and any brand would do the same to resolve it.

Owning a Ducati is a love hate relationship. Much like one with a wife or a girlfriend. You hate her and want to leave her to look for something better when she doesn't act right. But when she's doing what she's supposed to do, you love her and are the happiest person in the world.

At least that's the way I like to look at it.

+2. Living with the increased costs of tyres and valve maintenance is one thing. ALl out mechanical failure seems to be pretty rare. I've not had a problem with either of mine, and I don't know anyone who's had such bad luck. Any chance your dealer's not all that great at assembling their bikes?

It really is "luck of the draw" on anything built by a human. I have had several "new model year" vehicles and so far only one has given me any grief.

My RS is a new model year and has been bulletproof so far (10K "spirited" miles on it and a couple of track days).

Sorry to hear about your troubles but hey, at least you have a pregnant dogin' bike and will be riding it soon Others do not....
