Just got the time off work and planning a last minute trip to Vegas next week.  Plan is to leave on my 916 early weds (april 8th) morning...ride down to bakersfield (spend the night)...then ride to death valley (spend the night) and ride into vegas on day 3 by midday.  Staying there til monday April 13 am and riding back.

Going to meet a friend in vegas but other then that Im gonna be solo so Im trying a long shot to see if anyone else wants to ride down...you know, the buddy system.  Let me know, thanks, Bill

916?  Ouch.

It's not that bad. I rode my 916 from San Francisco to Portland (including total charging system melt down bang head and repair @ Acme rocket Bike/Stefano Motors, but that's another story).

It's not quite an ouch, but more of a slit your Achilles tendon and pour boiling alcohol over it, while tying off yer nuts so tight they go numb and send jolts of pain through your torso. Yeah, it's kind of like that. cheeky laughingdp laughingdp

On the way to Bako you should ride Hwy 25 down to 198 to Coalinga. The rest of the way will be kinda boring but 25 and 198 are awesome roads. waytogo

My suggestion is to not ride to Vegas. The ride there is fine.

Coming back royally make the beast with two backsed up is not so much.
