Hey, anybody in the Kalamazoo area: Cars Bikes and Coffee meet, starting Saturday, April 25th. We're aiming to make it a really open format as far as what type/brand/year of cars and bikes (think Woodward Autozone meet, if you've ever been to that, or a DucsUnlimited meet on the east side) Should be fun, just gotta round up all the southwest Michigan entusiasts!

Details have changed a bit, but here is the FINAL location:

Bilbo's Pizza / Brewery
6202 South Westnedge Avenue
Portage, MI 49002
(269) 323-8855

http://www.bilbospizza.com

Bilbo's is located in a large shopping plaza, and across a parking area from Bilbo's is a Barnes and Noble / Starbuck's. Also, right across Milham Ave is a Panera Bread. (see map) We'll meet around 9AM and park in Bilbo's parking area (see map). (I'll probably arrive between 8:30 and 9 am) Panera opens at 6AM, Starbuck's opens at 9AM, and Bilbo's opens at 11AM.

feel free to arrive whenever you want we will be there between 9 am and ????? 3pm????

Bilbo's will be closing off the bar area of their restaurant for our use for a few hours, starting at 11AM.

For anyone who hasn't had Bilbo's pizza, it's delicious, worth a trip!

Also, their drink menu isn't on their website so here it is (although I think things get changed around pretty frequently)

Count me in! [thumbsup]
How many other West Michiganders do we have on this forum?  I haven't run into too many yet.

Not sure, i was hoping for some people from detroit or chicago areas too that wouldn't mind a treck. I know there are some 1098's in the area. and some older monsters. Life cycle in town is iffy, even though i told them they should bring some new bikes to show

also, Audi  of Kalamazoo is bringing an S5 (assuming it doesn't sell) and a new TT

BMW of Kalamazoo should also be bringing a couple fast cars

and Porsche of Grand Rapids may be bringing something, not sure yet.

if you would rather bring a car that is fine too!! (bring a bike  ;D)

If I still lived in the land northwest of you with windmills, wooden shoes and Christian Reformers, I'd be there with my Monster Capirex and reminisce about my days (nights) spent with friends at the Lafayette street parties and WMU games!  But I was compelled to move to the mountains (or at least closer to them).  Have fun!   [moto]

Have you been over to ducati.ms?  They have a board for each model, as well as a general board.  Might be worth posting up there.

New location for the event, downtown wouldn't let us use the street because a railroad track went right through it, even though the public parks there everyday. Oh well, Bilbos is totally stoked about the event, so it should be great. Hope to see some of you there.

for those of you watching the weather, there is a 30% chance of scattered thunderstorms, but if you check out the hour by hour, it says no rain till after 6pm

anyways, we will have a 20 foot tarp in case, just for the bikes. im sure the car guys dont care as much as the motorcycle guys

We had a great turn out at the meet this morning! i think a lot of bikes didn't come due to rain in the forcast, which hit us around noon, and hard! The cars were sick though, and there were 3 monsters, a thruxton, and a GSXR that came, so it was a good time overall! We are planning on making this a monthly event, so once the weather become more predictable, hopefully we can get a kick @ss monster presence!  [thumbsup]

LOL..Sorry DucT.

I can't help but laugh!

I'm from MI so I can.

I've seen bigger Duc turnouts just going to the gym on rainy, winter, Monday afternoons in Kirkland.  ;)

Goes to show you the difference between the MidWest..mainly Michigan..and..uhh..

the rest of the world.  [laugh]

Keep promoting the meetups though.  Maybe more will be out next time.   [thumbsup]

The cars OTOH..my uncle had a few classic Impalas, Vettes, etc.  I've been with him and seen some big turnouts (St. Ignace comes to mind).  They can be VERY impressive.
2018 Scrambler 800 "Argento"
2010 Monster 1100 "Niro"
2003 Monster 620 "Scuro"

well, we weren't going for a huge turnout, just people who enjoy their rides and want to meet up and talk. id rather have a few good people than a hundred douche bags. But yeah, the rain i think kept a bunch from coming.
