So how do you vote when the only original part is some of the frame and the gas tank? [evil]

If you like Eric I can add an option for FrankenMonster!   [laugh]

But seriously, your bike is freakin' cool. I love the ARC Fab exhaust coming through the tail!   [thumbsup]

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

I have trouble justifying the addition of the M696 and M1100 without future provisions for Streetfighter.

As I see the Ducati Naked Lineup you have:

Classic Monsters - Air Cooled (DSS Monsters such as M6**, M750, M800, M900, M1000)
Classic Monsters - Water Cooled (S4)
S2R Monsters - Air Cooled (S2R 800, S2R 1000)
S4R Monsters - Water Cooled (S4R, S4Rt, S4Rs)
New Monsters - Air Cooled (M696, M1100)
New Streetfighters - Water Cooled (Streetfighter 1098/1198)

That seems like the most logical groupings, and encompasses design changes AND motors. So for a tally, you'd need to include Streetfighters in this poll, because - like the new Monsters - they are a cosmetic redesign and the natural engine evolution, all the while being Naked Sports.

A contrast would be including SS, ST - they come faired, and though they may share engines or frames, etc, its a different lineup.
The Hypermotard is similarly distinguishable because it was made to fill a niche market, not be an evolution of the Monster series.  Just being naked isn't the common feature here.

The Streetfighter is the 'natural' evolution of the S4R bikes - water cooled naked. Not really fair to cry foul by trying to say its a "whole different bike" - cosmetically its different like the M696/1100 is different, a new front, a new frame. Its not so different than the S*R series was when they went to a SSS, and were marketed along side DSS Monsters like the M695 at the same time, still being badged as Monsters.

ato, the SS's and the ST's have never shared motors or frames. I'll bet they share quite a few motor parts though.
