Fitted the monster with Pirelli Super Corsa Pro this week waytogo

After a long day in the saddle today and considering the condition of the road wet and all I can honestly say they are scrubbed  [moto]

They were little vague on the edges in the beginning compared to the pilot powers sports which gave me confidence and support  from the get go, running them for the last 4 years, I new it was going to be a big change for me with the Pirelli’s  Huh?

As the day progressed, I became more and more confident with the feel from edge to edge but was still hesitant to give it all  Undecided

Then on the way out of Oberon Monster Mick made a brake for it, I was straight out after him like a greyhound out of the gate, hanging onto him like a suckling piglet  Kiss Kiss Kiss

Before long I had forgotten about my reservations and was carving the road like I was use to  Grin

Thanks to Micks dash for freedom I found my rhythm on the new tires   [moto] [moto] [moto] [moto]

Good on ya Mick  waytogo

wish i wasn't there to see it..........even the tiniest bit
i've stayed with you two only by the grace of the cop car in front. the moment he turned, you two were gone.........and i mean gone like "where the make the beast with two backs did they go" gone. when you've decided to stop and wait for us, the lawn-balls brigade, you were in another post code
you guys rock!! i want to ride like that when i grow up. ok, tomorrow first step - changing my pilots for pirelli............not that i would notice a difference

i myself favour urban guerrilla warfare
on a way home, near homebush, i caught up in a heavy evening traffic with a guy on something big and japanese (it's so bloody hard to see after dark with a dark visor) purely because my lane was faster. like showing red cloth to a bull.....it was on in a moment. hihihi

wiped the road with a guy - by strathfield he was nowhere to be seen
he caught up with me in when i've stopped on a side of city-link in leichhardt to adjust my never_stopping_to_loosen_up seat (btw, must have it fixed one day). he pulled up and yelled >>you're make the beast with two backsin' crazy<<.........then drove off DOING A WHEELIE!!!.............and I AM crazy?

..................hehehe caught him on before anzac bridge, showed him a finger like an adult and mature person that i'm and left him for dead.................yet again

and all this on my pilots. maybe i won't be changing to pirelli's after all?

I had very little confidence in the tyres until that moment. Undecided

At one point Matty and I had swapped rides waytogo

Wow what a mistake  Huh?

Matty's bike was so smooth and stable compared to mine dipped into corners with no effort and held the line like it was on tracks [moto]

I guess it was the 4 years I had spent on these tyres that was messing with my mind  Roll Eyes

It was at this point that I thought I had made a huge error swapping to the Pirelli's.  bang head

My confidence was shot after that ride Embarrassed

Matty your bike was a pleasure to ride so obedient she is disciplined well waytogo

Thanks for the rap Melvin but I must admit again if it wasn’t for monstermick making a dash I would be still going Embarrassed

Dock you're welcome as your was equally as amazing, the brakes are like having two parachutes on your back.
And I wasn't even going at all, then touching the throttle was "OMG hold on tight baby" Do see what you mean about fighting it all the time.
First corner I dropped into I was like "man this feels like work" but fast fun work.

Me I really like my Pilot Power and going up to a 120/70 on the front from the 120/60.
Might steer a little slower but not enough for me to notice at my level.
What I do notice in the edge grip and the instance response from the rubber, so much better than the stock Pirelli Diablo.

I feel about twice as fast going in and coming out of every corner, Melvin don't swap I think you'll regret it for your type of riding.
I was wary of the Pirelli on Dock's bike from the chats we'd had about them already and felt exactly as he'd described, nervous about being on the edge.

As I say new tyres rocks.
And I'm loving the Pilot Power.
cheers
Matty...

Yeah, I'm still coming to grips with them, would like a warm day and a road that I know, just so I know how much edge grip you can get from them.

You might have been sticking to me like a suckling pig, I dont know if you could hear it but my bike is running like a pig, no drive at all off the turns, popping and farting all the way to the Great Western Hwy, good fun though...

I must say I did enjoy the day watching Matty and Rob do their thing, but I must admit, I was a little hungry by Jenolan Caves, mid-week rides are the go.

nice work guys. i run a power race on the front and a power on the rear, i've been a "michelin man", well, not_literally_, for years, so i'm staying put, but a mate loves his super corsas and i had a go and yeah, nice, just different.
melvin, if you're seat comes loose at the latch, put a couple of washers under the latch between it and the subframe and your problem should be solved. waytogo

And Melvin, back that chain off before you make the beast with two backs up your gearbox.

Man, sounds like you guys had a blast... Luck buggers while I toiled at work  bang head

I have just managed to get off my Bridgestone BT14's (only got 4,000k's out of the back and about 5,500 out of the front) and have gone back to the trusty Pilots - I have actually put the Road 2 on the back and the power on the front.

I really looked at the Pirellis and may go that way next time, or maybe the Corsa III though - the Super Corsa Pros look the business but I want a few more k's out of a tyre - Interested to hear how they go!
