I 've warned the Igors they will not get their ration of chicken heads and porridge vomit if I am not freed from the laboratory in time for this.

Sounds like fun.  Amsterdam was rated one of the top 3 beer bars in Dallas by Draft magazine.  Additionally, one of the best 200 beer bars in America.

I might be there.  Possibly +2

There were at least 10 Triumphs there last night, most of them cafe.  Really good turn out on their part.  I knew it was gonna be fun when a guy that goes by the name "Spoon" flew by the bar doing 60 or 70 on a Triumph cafe racer and slams the rear brake doin a pretty cool smoke n' slide stop.  He busts a U turn and proceeds to ride a wheelie past the front of the bar.   chug

Hope you resolve that issue quickly RED.  Man that is bizarre.

Well, it was a great turn out last night with about 30-40 bikes out front of The Amsterdam Bar. That included one fine looking '07 S4Rs sitting in between RED and Alexisonfire's yellow Monster. Great bunch of Ton Up enthusiasts with all sorts of Triumphs and Ducs mainly with an RD 350 and BMW R90/6 thrown in for good measure. A bunch of us went next door to The Meridian for some late night pub grub and munched down on some right nice Cubans.

Great to finally meet Alexisonfire and Silvy from San Diego who turns out to be one great guy! I got to tell you all he's one stand up dude! RED would not start up and take me home after a night of drinking and cajolling with other makes so it decided to just sit at the bar for the night and drown it's sorrow I suppose...hmmm, maybe time to swap out for a newer model (cough1198s Ah hemm)? Grrr!! Anyway Silvy offered and I accepted a ride back to FW from the bar.           Dude, many thanks for that righteous act. What a humble and gracious thing to do for a complete staranger. This West Coast guy has my vote for honorary DFWMer!!

Oh, and Sil, I will hook up with you next time I'm out your way. I want to ride those pregnant dogin roads we talked about outside of SD.

Thanks again Silvy and (west coast all-is-well groovy handsign here) be seeing you soon,

Awesome pics Alex!! That phone is a magic wand with the flashlight thingy and all. Man that was handy! Great meeting and hangin with you guys last night. Albeit one dead ST4s ( bow down major Kudos to Sily...see next comment below) it was a really fun night talking to all the Ton Up'ers about their bikes. Lot's of character in those Brit bikes. Got's to get one and cafe it out. Trouble is getting a jacket like those guys is going to take a while to make. It's not like you can go down to the local Ducati fashionista shop and pick out one on the rack  Undecided  Spoon is just as crazy off the bike as he is on it too. That's one for the record books  laughingdp  applause.

I'd say let's plan again on another night down there soon if anyone is up to it? Great selection of beers and a nice laid back atmo to boot.

I had a good time meeting Alexisonfire and his Yellow M900 and some of the more or less sane Trumpet riders. That was a most excellent Red Thruxton, I must say. Ahem. I expected a better showing of Ducatisti, though. Or maybe they all showed up after I left to close the place.  chug

Those mean Ton Uppers were laughing at me for yawning at 8:30 at night. Cry  I party lightly when I'm riding, and handling the $4r$ on day two of ownership was a serious task, considering it has about 50 HP more than anything else I've ever ridden. So I left early and sober, and did not stay to sing the Song of the Sausage Creature.

Woke up at 5:30 AM this morning, feeling rested, wide awake, and ready to ride to work. Think I'll do it tomorrow, too. Then there's Saturday....

I'd like to make this, but it might have to be next week rather than week.
