Just wondering what everyone is using, I've been trying to locate a Matris M3 but I'm having no luck at all.

Cheers and here is hoping the weather changes soon so that the rest of us in North America can get riding.

I'm using an Arrow Titanium unit.

When you say you are having no luck at all, what exactly do you mean by that. What are you expecting it to do for you?

laughingdp  A search of "steering damper" turned up about 12 threads, at least 3 of which were this topic!

Yeah, a Matris unit is gonna be hard to find as there is no "real" US importer the last time I checked for someone else. I did get an email response from them (in Italy) as to whom to contact but never got a response from the person/business that is supposedly stateside. They are beautiful pieces and work very well but if there is a problem the warranty or service aspect of it is gonna be a pregnant dog. Which would lead me to either a Bitubo or an Arrows unit. Last I checked Ohlins wasn't making a whole lot of top mount versions....

Here is my M4 on my RS:

that is the problem with matris, no warranty work anymore in the US.

i have one that may or may not be starting to go and its only 1 year old, and nobody can fix it or even check it.

the only good thing about matris is that the mounting hardware, ie the top mount hardware give you the mounting points so that you can use any top mounted damper if the matris one goes, it looks like you can attach an ohlns or an arrow damper to the matris mountinb points which in and of itself for some models is worht the money.

Not a lot of help here but I have a top mount Matris M4 on my RC51 and it is really nice! The last post is correct in that are hard to find these days. I got mine through OnCycle.com They are closing them out and I'm pretty sure they don't have many (or any) for Ducatis. They also had some killer deals on Alth full floating wave and non wave rotors... also on clearance, but they don't have many left. Sorry, mini threadjack there!

Have a side mount Ohlins on the Monster but if you do find a Matris for you Duc I give them a big thumbs up. Great quality for the $$$. waytogo

I spent a few hours last night researching this exact thing.  The Matris has zero factory support and is tough to find. I ended up purchasing the Bitubo from Desmoworks. I gave them a call today to check on the order. They have a bunch coming in Monday and they know their stuff over there.
