As some of you know, I played Rugby for quite a while.  Part of my career was with good old George Washington.  It's time for the annual Alumni match - aka watching 30 somethings attempting to relive past glories...

What:  The GWRFC Alumni Match.  Old Boys vs. Under Grads

When:  Sat, April 25, kickoff is slated for 2pm

Where:  The tidal basin rugby field.
Situated between 15th, Independence and Maine ave NW


Other info:
Beer:  Beer and Rugby go together like... well Beer and Rugby - But if you want to bring adult bevs, do so with discretion.  I don't know of anyone who's had any trouble, but it is a public field so some camouflage is a good idea.

Parking:  There is a lot off Independence, right on the tidal basin but it's not a big lot - so car pooling or metro are good plans.  The Smithsonian stop is 2 blocks away.

- Last time I played, we kicked the crap out of them (72-5).  So come watch a hopeful repeat.

The heat wave was rough on the old boys... We lost, not horribly, but still lost.  Started off with and early score an held a lead for a lot of the game - but it came apart at the end.

But the youngins still haven't caught up in the point total to the 72-5 beating the old boys laid out a couple years back.
