How do you know it's going to rain?
Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I hereby the powers vested in me, ThunderBug, declare rain that day. How about them apples?

So now I understand why people were confused at my rain comment.  I thought he meant this Wednesday.

I just now finally re-read the original post and saw the Wednesday 6 May bit.

Here's hoping for sun.  I will be in the area and would like to actually make it to one of these famed Rhodeside gatherings.
