clutch slave question

when removing and installing the clutch slave cylinder does the bike have to be in nuetral?  What happens if it's not?  Thank you [bacon]

Being in gear or neutral will not affect or be affected by removal of the slave. Doesn't make any difference.

You can probably still shift to neutral without the clutch if you need to push the bike around with the slave off so no. Doesn't really matter at all.
