My comcast bill doubled, so I called and canceled. Of course they try and get me to take less services at a slightly higher price, but I go ahead and make them cancel.

Through out the conversation I make it seem like Im on the fence, lets see if they call at the last minuet to try and retain me at the same price (as they did last time.)

If not, we have ATT U verse in the neighborhood, 18mbps goodness.

What really make the beast with two backss me off is these 'introductory prices' that jack up after 6 months to yeah, almost double. I'm about due here myself for a long phone conversation. Unfortunately UVerse isn't available here yet, and with Dish/DTV I'd only get 1.5mb internet tops. And the prices arent really any better than these intro prices with cable.

Yeah its a total package.  A bit pricey though, I'm only using it to get comcast to fold.  They dont have the monopoly on high speed internet anymore in our area, so charging 75 bucks a month aint going to fly.

i just transfered my DSL to the new place and we are looking into their 'bundle' with satellite TV

perhaps i need to reevaluate the situation

Comcast BLOWS. Everyone I know who has them or had them in the past hate them. I really haven't met anyone who has anything good to say about them.

I'm pretty happy w/ Comcast because they haven't tried to move into the area where I live.  :P

Their internet speed and downtime (Ive never had it go down in a year) are awesome

I pay for 6 mbps

I get around 16 mbps.

It easily streams HD netflix with no hiccups or buffering after the initial 10 seconds.

I just have no reason to pay 110 bucks for it,  I am fine with 70.  [laugh]
