i usually push my bike out from the backyard before i let it warm up, and i've started noticing this slight clicking noise coming from the rear as i push the bike. is that normal? am i just hearing the chain? the bike is a m695.

Time for a new chain or perhaps lubing it (the chain that is).

Put it up on the rear stand and rotate the wheel and see if you can replicate the noise.

I was getting mine back from Ducati AMS, and when the tech was pushing my bike to my truck I heard the same thing, he said it's just the chain and it's normal.  I had never heard it because I never really push it forward.  or at least not more then a couple of feet.
