I know I'm not the first to have this problem, but I have some burnt boot plastic on my Zards.  I tried oven cleaner (although I only left it on there for about 5 min), kerosene and then nail polish remover, but I noticed that the nail polish remover I had was "non-acetone" (no wonder my toes look like shit!), and nothing worked.  Any ideas?

i have not personally used oven cleaner on my exhaust, but i know people who have & it worked great. this was for melted plastic/boot material on their exhaust. oven cleaner did the trick for them but not sure of the time it was let to sit before removing.

get the cold oven cleaner and spray it carefully on the affected area and let it sit over night , should take care of it

Just use plain acetone. Soak a rag with it and then tie it around the affected area and leave it for a few minutes. Take it off and use it to rub the area and it'll come right off!
