Picked up my new Aprilia Scarabeo 200 from Scuderia on Saturday! Went on an awesome first ride with Desmoquattro and Michael Moore.

BikerGoddess and her new toy:
Pt Reyes Station:
Yes, I was there too:
It's a very cool ride. Freeway-legal speed, very good brakes (they're linked), and lots of storage. The water-cooled DOHC 4-valve motor is great at speed. We added some bar-end weights (grazie, Sig. Moore) this weekend, and we'll be mounting the Givi box as soon as we can procure the proper brackets.

It's a bit hard to do with the linked brakes. I keep talking about putting a 2x4 in the front spokes, but for some reason BikerGoddess keeps vetoing that idea

I really like the Scarabeo. The bigger tires don't look as cool, but they feel better to me on the road than the Vespa's do. I think you have one of the almost perfect SF machines (the perfect SF machine being my Monster)
Congratulations on the new ride!

Yes, the new ride is very cool, but I wasn't, due to the Scarabeo's aerodynamics (blocked the wind too well). Very smooth on the highway and on bumpy city streets. I caught DQ digging a ride on it while I was working at the D Store on Sunday. The big wheels made me feel a lot more confident when cornering. I've yet to work off the chicken strips. Of course, I couldn't keep up with DQ and MM in the twisties!

I offer a chicken strip removal service...
