Thought I'd share my experience this past Sunday 4/19/09 on their ride

So Sunday morning in Baltimore was beautiful as was the whole weekend. I hop on the Monster and head out. I live right near the Pete's Cycle on Bel Air Rd in Baltimore. I go past there and a big sign out front about a "poker run" today. I figured what the heck ill check it out. I pull in and they are just getting started, so i'm just in time. I register, $20, I get a T-shirt, prizes and they feed you burgers and dogs after the ride.

Now most of the other rides ive been on were almost all harley guys who have no clue what any other bike is unless its a harley. This one was different. Lots of Triumphs, actually it seemed like Triumphs were the majority. A few honda's cruisers, goldwings, and sportbikes. Kawasakis and lots of different bikes to include a couple really cool "rat rod" custom bikes. Of course, i'm the only Ducati. We head out on a real nice ride through Kingsville, glen arm, Harford Co. area and back again through 7 sisters and Harford rd.

The guys on the ride were real cool, everyone was diggin the S4R, lots of folks asked me questions about it. After the ride, i park my bike and head in for a bathroom break. Came back out and a big crowd around my bike. What a cool feeling that is. Everyone pointing at it and checking it out. Everyone just seemed to like Motorcycles and not just Harley Davidsons.

This was probably the coolest group of riders on an organized ride ive ever been on. Anyone in the area that hears about another ride out of Pete's I would recommend going out for it if you are in to that sort of thing. I dont shop at Pete's much as I dont care for the sales people, but ill buy a pair of gloves or some chain lube there now and then cus they are close buy. Kudos to them for putting on a great time.  [bacon] [bacon]
