No running lights on Clear Alternatives Integrated Taillight

This past weekend I chopped the tail on my 2000 M900Sie and installed a Clear Alternatives Integrated Taillight that I bought from Chris Kelley at Cal-Cycleworks.  Everything went together as it should, plugging the LED board into the socket from the old housing, but I have no running lights at all.  The left/right signals work, as does the brake light, but I cannot make the running light work.

Is it possible that the CI integrated light does not have a running light?  I can't imagine this is true, but I thought I would ask.

If anybody has run into this problem, or has a notion of the cause, I would appreciate your help.  Thanks!

The CA unit DEFINITELY has a running light...

Assuming the brake light comes on WHEN you hit the brakes... Pull the socket out and try to put it in backwards, to see if the running lights come on when you hit the brakes. Sounds weird, but at least you'll be able to tell if it's the CA light or the socket/wiring of the bike.

If nothing comes on, it's the CA light. But put a standard bulb in and test again to see if the light comes on.

If the running lights come on, then it's a bad contact in the socket. Many have hardwired their CA without the socket. I never had that problem.

Sensible advice.  I'll take another look at this thing tonight and see what I can figure out.  Are the running lights just a reduced number of LEDs on the board (as opposed to the brake light)?

Got it.  I always thought that the intensity of LEDs was invariable.  You learn something new every day!

When I installed mine, I discovered that Ducati had mixed up two wire connections - it wasn't a problem for the bulb light, but my CA didn't like it.
It was the flat connectors just in front of where the bulb would be (under the seat). IIRC it was the middle one and the left one which were mixed up.

Of course, I can't be sure if this the fix for you. Also have a spare fuse handy (I didn't, but should have).

I think the correct pattern is:  Yellow  Red/White (viewed backwards against the inside of the tail)
