UNBELIEVABLE moves from ben in race 1.  someone try and argue he can't race toe to toe....

heartbreaking race 2.  see the bike go flipping over the wall?

Race one was awesome. Great finish.

I just started watching WSBK last year and this year is much better.

Race 2  bang head

I hope nobody got hit by any flying parts. The bike jumped over the wall at the very end. Crazy.

do yourself a favor and go back and watch the full seasons you missed from about 1996 or so on.

especially the british and japanese rounds (strongest wildcards) and the edwards/bayliss seasons.

Yep, race 1 was one of the best races I have ever watched.

Didn't see the bike flip - do you mean Ben's bike or someone else?  There were several bad get-offs.

What happend to Fabrizia in the end of race 2?  He was going a great job holding on to 3rd place.  Camera swtiched to Haga toward the end and Fabrizia ended up 4th?  He seemed really frustrated.

And from this afternoon I started to love Ben Spies.

many moments like this to refer to but you should watch the last AMA superbike race of 2007 (@ laguna).

and don't worry, he'll get this new-bikeyness under control and stop doing things like clipping the grass entering corners  Angry

I totally respect spies and his talent, but I swear to god the speed announcers act like they want to have his babies!!  For every one time they mention haga (the points leader),  they spend five minutes drooling over spies.  Maybe it's just me, but it's driving me nutty!

people don't come in from smaller, national series and do what he's doing in wsbk.  it's unprecedented.

he 'ought' to be performing about like shane byrne.

....and jonathan greene has some sort of connection to texas, so i s'pose he's predisposed somewhat.  however there's also not been an american pulling any weight in this series since 2002.

(and 4 out of 4 poles will get you a lot of superlatives)

Yeah, my buddy has been watching WSBK, AMA and GP as long back as I can remember. I was hearing about Rossi when he was racing 250's. I didn't start watching GP until 2004? I think that was Rossi's last year on the Honda. Or his first year on the Yamaha. Whatever year it was, I saw the second half of his last year on the Honda. Watching racing is what made me buy my Monster.

It's nice to see Spies do so well in WSBK. I couldn't stand watching AMA last year. I hope Hopkins gets a chance to do well.
