http://www.crash.net/World+Superbikes/News/145770/1/spies_sets_early_assen_pace.html

Just an hour after riding onto the circuit for the first time, Ben Spies has already established himself as the early man to beat around Assen as the fourth round of the World Superbike Championship got underway with opening free practice.

The American rider has had nothing more than computer games to aid his cause in the run up to the Dutch event, but he wasted no time in getting to grips with the circuit as he emerged a sizeable four tenths up on his nearest rival.

Is it weird that I'm more excited about WSBK this weekend than the MotoGP race?

Not at all.  I am also.  I imagine others as well.

What is Haga's problem with Assen?

I suspect most folks are more excited about WSBK. Haga? Don't worry. It's early and race day is what counts.

Its normal to feel that way when one of your countrymen is at the front of the pack, I love both series but at the moment Moto GP is still more exciting for me, Casey being an Aussie and all waytogo
