I finished mine last night....a little different to others here. I think I will leave the colour as is.

I just finished by belt covers.

I like them much better than the gray. Used a Dremel to cut the belt covers. I bought plastic gutter guard. Cut it to fit. Painted it and Voila! [thumbsup] I am very pleased with myself ;D
Here is how mine turned out.  Looking at yours, I wish I would have painted the hyperscreen black.  Good Job.

I did the lexan thing, got dirty quickly and looked like shit, so I ripped it out and just went with open windows

I was thinking about lexan but didn't bother, just thought it would get dirty quick and didn't want to put more holes in the covers.

Plus, I don't think you really need it.

How thick is the stock cover (seems pretty thin) and what did most of you use to cut it?
Turn it off man, turn it off!  It's sucking my will to live!

It would be around 4mm, 1/4 inch thick.

I used a coping saw with a fine blade to cut it.

This was post was on TOB so I'll put it up on the new board.  I love the pantah covers but they wouldn't fit my 900 as they were. So I stretched them out  ;)

whats moepery? moepery is when you expose yourself to a blind person.

That's the tits!  Where did you get that screen?

EDIT:  I dig that you put some in the heat guards for the exhaust, too.

What sort of adhesive did you use to stick those in there?  Seems like they'd get some heat.

The screen is TPO Hyperscreen.  It is for replacing stock screening on full fairing bikes to let more air in.  I think I bought it through Ebay.  Yea, I went ahead and hooked the heat shields up because I am to cheap to drop $60 on Carbon.  I did my front sprocket cover also.  Total cost was only $35.  Screen, paint, and epoxy.  More beer money!

I like the mod!  Buddy, has billet rizoma covers on his m750, and the lexan has cracked where it attaches due to vibration.

Only pulley that would catch debris is the horizontal cylinder's gear driven(middle) pulley.  At the speed the assembly rotates, it would be more likely to "kick" debris than drag it in.  Think a roulette wheel rotating very fast!

So I removed my belt covers today and I have to say that the look is great... One thing I noticed though, while I was doing this I was thinking about taking off the emissions canister. So I started looking at it, following the hoses when I noticed that the two fatter hoses were NOT connected to anything... Did I knock them off removing the cover?  Do I need to reconnect these hoses before I ride, basically can this mess anything up.  I have not noticed that they were disconnected until today, and I imagine that it has been like this for a while.  Guess it's time to remove the emission canister too.
