Bill Goldgerg ain't got nothing on us!!!!

JJ and I met up with Bonfy in Red River and were looking for a place to get some lunch.  Found this little place and got a wild west workout in before lunch.

Bonfy a rockin and a rollin.  Fine form if you ask me!!

JJ putting the Ducati leathers to good use.

Stay tuned.  More to come.

Oh my God!  I don't know how long it had been since I laughed that hard.  We had such a good time.  We all geared up for our turn on the bull.  I'll bet that was a first for that guy running it.

Here's a few shots I got:

Here's Kawboy doing what he does best:

Here are the guys after the mechanical bull session, both with a new appreciation of rodeo-ers:

Kawboy and JJ in front of Blanca, Ellingwood, and Little Bear:

Kawboy at the pump:

JJ at the pump:

The guys up in Bishop's Castle:

The Fudgerun Trio at Colorado City:

The Roadrunner is ready to fly over La Veta Pass:

Your basic fuelstop:

And the last morning before the guys took off:

What a great trip!  Thanks for including me!

Oh more came up while I was posting.... that last video of JJ and Fred leaving was cool, you could see them go warp speed.

There's a reason the guy told us to keep the knees clinched to the bull, more so for the guys than the gals.  JJ found out the hard way on the very first buck.  He looked like a limp ragdoll from that  point on and the rest of that ride was a blur he said..sad, but kind of funny when you keep that in mind while viewing.

That made my day.  It's the simple things. Dusty & I were not happy that we had to miss the ride.

JJ, I thought you had taken a Valium & washed it down with Scotch. But nooooow i get it...Dick punch   Ouch !
Same result without the fun  Shocked

I think we may have just witnessed Bonfys next profession.

I think Mouse & Dusty should be pullin' into Colo Springs in the next couple of hours.  LOCK YOUR DOOR BONFY.

After that, and a weekend at DDGM's, we should expect some crazy pics in the next few days.

NICE LAUGH KAWBOY

Yea, it does kind of detract from the moment.  Couldn't help it though.  That's why I'm not in Hollywood making movies for millions.

JJ and Bonfy on the road up from Questa to Ft. Garland

Parking the bikes after a good run

Penrose gas station.  There's Lance.  All is forgiven.

Bishop's Castle.  I made an offer but their not selling right now.

Bonfy breaking the sound barrier (again) passing Lake Isabel on Route 165.

Bonfy breaking the sound barrier (again) on Route 96 toward Silver Cliff.  Breathtaking Sange DeCristo Range in the back.  If you look close, JJ is a little speck way up along the ridge in the center.

Bison grazing along Rt 69 near Bradford.

JJ at the Shamrock station in Eagle Nest.

The Roadrunner and the Tricolore at Eagle Nest.

That is a good one.  I really like the one of Kawboy sitting on his bike ready to go over La Veta Pass, too.  And speaking of breaking the sound barrier, it was a rarity if I even saw or heard those guys on the majority of the trip.  They took off like bats out of hell at every opportunity, this pissing Lance right the hell off since he was stuck on the slow bike with moi.  I really should have let him ride with both of them for awhile.  That would've stopped his snivelling.   laughingdp

That so we could get ahead to get pictures of you on the fly.  And we had to work at it too.   Tongue Wink   There are quite a few like that.  Just getting the best shots of you in.  Had to pan pretty fast to keep from blurring them.   waytogo

Awesome stuff, guys!

Man, the last time I was at Bishop's Castle, Mr. Bishop was still working on that long staircase in the last pic.  Guess it's been a while!

Glad to see you all getting some saddle time in! [moto]

It would've been great to have you along, Count, also, Dusty and KB, if they could've made it, plus, of course, any of the gang.  Things were a little different at the fudge store though.  We were saddened by the news that the owner's wife had passed away and in his grief, he has not resumed the candy-making operation without her.

Bishop's Castle  was insane.  It looked like something out of a horror flick.  My head was already banging so I knew I wasn't going up in that thing, but  plus I have my suspicions it probably wasn't buit to code.   I heard there is a tragic history to the place.  I didn't get a warm IZ_ there.  But the riding was phenomenal getting to it.  That Texas Creek run south of Hwy 50 over by Silvercliff  is my new territory to explore.  I plan on spending some time camping and soaking that up.

You

WOULD NOT

catch me dead climbing around in that deathtrap...(without a rope)   cheeky

Nice shots!  Last time I was there was about two years ago, so I too see a lot of change in the photos from when I visited.  I agree with you Bonfy, fun riding to get there.  I have a feeling KB and I will be riding up to Colorado a lot this summer since you are there and DDGM is just two minutes from Coal Creek Canyon.   applause

I told Kawboy and JJ I'd hide a spare key in the backyard so if they are ever in the area, they always have a place to hang in between canyon carving.  I'll leave a tent out there, too, in case the place is already filled up.  Same goes for Dusty, KB, Ducmouse, HP, and all you ducatisti from out of state.
