Emulsion tubes

I just ordered a set of emulsion tubes for my 97 M900 because its time to replace them. Do I need anything else like needles or a gasket kit?  The bike has 36,000 miles and I have never been into the carbs myself. The previous owner had a stage 2 kit put in to accommodate the FBF high compression pistons, open airbox, and exhaust.

You might want to get new o-rings for the mains as you have to take them out to change the tubes IIRC.

You may need new needles.  It can never hurt to replace them.  They can get beat up and not be smooth enough, especially if your emulsion tubes are out of round.

This is good advice, but I'll pont out I've recently put my 4th set of replacement needlejets into my carbs (in 10 years, ~240,000km or ~150k miles) and I'm _still_ using all the original orings.

I'm not sure about the OEM Ducati needles, but I put FactoryPro needles in at my 40,000km (25k mile) service, and I had them out a few weekends ago 200,000km later and they're still perfect. It can't _hurt_, but I doubt it's _necessary_ at 36k miles.

When I replaced emulsion tubes, I didn't replace the o-rings or the needles.  And it hasn't presented a problem.  So +1.  But again, it can't hurt to replace both if you have the time (to find them/wait for them to ship) and money (needles can be expensive).
