Now I understand why my gloves have carbon re-enforced knuckles....for such a situation!

Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

Yes I would be pissed off ... but do you know the circumstances?

Knocked over? Pushed over? Dodgily parked?

Helmet does seem to have taken the brunt of the impact ... but that is probably not a cheap fix either ... nor would it lessen the pain.

no, just came across it in my travels on a saturday nite ...btw: BlackBerry has to have the worst camera on the market

....mind you, the guy is an ass and has got only himself to blame ... taking a bike like this - or any bike for that matter - parking it and leaving on Oxford St on a saturday nite is plain stupid

plus they should do what melvin did and take photos for the insurance company cause they will want to know when you went to the toilet let alone how the bike got there

and if the stand is broken...you going to pick the thing up....and then either have it fall (again) or have to gently lay it down....

yeah, best to leave it as is, the last thing you want is to be picking it up as the owner walks around the corner!!! his helmet has definitely saved him a fortune in repairs, i'll bet someone has backed into it ever so gently causing the sidestand to auto retract (DUMB ASS DESIGN!) and driven off, possibly not even knowing as it may have moved enough to sit there for a while teetering on the stand before retracting fully. My 900 monster was backed into in a similar way years ago and it cost the woman in her landcruiser, who was on her phone at the time around $4000 iirc. Oh, and yes, i would be very pissed off.

Paul....I had the same idea...you're picking it up, he (taking a punt) and comes flying at you screaming whilst you get out a "no,no,no!" as he clubbers you (whilst both your hands and on the bars pulling the thing up!

Disaster!

And sure as shit no-one saw the car knock over the bike but, a million witnesses saw you "tampering" with the poor mans motorcycle and are urging the police to be called, and for you to be arrested and flogged unmercifully for your transgression.  Roll Eyes

and Gazza, speaking off being cynical...you hear about the woman in Doncaster this past week...

Drunk (blew over .05)
Unregistered vehicle (therefore uninsured)
disqualified driving license
mother with her 2 kids in the back....
school zone at 8:45 in the morning....did I mention...drunk!

booked...

now if she'd been on a motorcycle....the media would have been ALL over that...woman in a car....barely a mention!
