Saw a red and white S2R at Fletcher's Boat House last Sunday.  The NP  [leo] ticketed you for improper display of tag.  OUCH!  Nice bike, and if it hadn't had a crowd of admirers around it, you wouldn't have gotten the ticket.

Oops - my bad.

I was there supporting a kids fishing day, but you can generally find me down there fishing 2-3 times a week from the middle of March to the middle of May..... I was down there the 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, and I'll be down there tomorrow.

No worries here.

BTW - what was the plate arrangement that got them tagged for improper display?  Was it tucked under the subframe or something?

Ah, good question.  It was an uncut bike and they had mounted the plate vertically in the stock location so that only the right half of the plate was visible and the left half of the plate was tucked up under the beer tray.  I thought it was odd placement......

It is about over now, but river herring show up first in mid-march, followed by large striped bass, then hickory shad, then American shad.  Somewhere in all that the white perch also show up, but I don't fish for those critters, so I pay less attention to when they show up.  The big stripers are probably gone for the year, although you can catch the smaller male fish well into the summer if you go up to little falls.  The shad may still be around, but with the water up so high right now (well into flood stage) there isn't much fishing to be had.  Once the river comes back down, there may still be a few shad left in the river, but I have my doubts.

Not really. They do make some commotion on the surface, but you catch them on small lures below the surface.
