Just in case anybody is interested, I am hooking up with the SA Sport Rides tomorrow for a ride into the hill country. Meet at the Exxon on the corner of Bandera Rd and 1604 in Helotes at 9am. I've rideen with some of these folks before and most are pretty level headed. You can access their site for more information at

Also attending will be Ducaholic, so we will give them a double dose of Monster education  Evil

I am still waiting on my bike to come back from the shop  Cry
How did the ride go with the SA sportbikes? I heard they are a little crazy and a bit too much.

Ducaholic and I showed up and met the group at the Exxon. We figured things might not be so good when we hear a loud "Waaaaaaaa"  and see one of the group wheelieing under the freeway intersection and then pulls into the Exxon, and he turns out to be the ride organizer.

Anyway - long story short - we rode with them for a bit but had to break off after 20 miles or so. They were just riding too quick and I'm still nursing my ticket deferrel (have to be good for another month) and Jon doesn't need anymore headaches either. When you're doing 80-85 in 65 and they are leaving you in the dust it doesn't leave you too many options, so we rode at 80mph,  and at the next turn off when we grouped back up, we told them to go on ahead without us.
