So what happens when one gets 4th traffic ticket in the past 12 month.  Unfortunately, after I went to mechanic  before I even make to the highway (R 23), I get pulled over.  I wish I was banging out and i got the ticket.  But this was just cruising.  Anyhow, I am to appear in court and I am now wondering what will happen.  I believe I have about 6 points so far and not sure what 83 on 55 gets one.  Oh well I am just venting here.  Just when I start enjoying country roads too....  >:(

on a good note, bike turned 34K miles today  :-)   620M 2004
620M 2004 Dark i.e.; ~ 57K miles (all me);  Looking to swap out engine now.
Triumph Speed Triple 2006 (now ~ 44K miles bought @ 4K miles on 04/2010)
Honda Grom 2015 ~ 3500miles so far.  Love this lil bike

Time to invest on a radar as well.

Trapster sounds pretty nice.  I only wish I had iPhone or similar phones to make use of it.  But nice idea.

How the heck does one ride the speed limit all the time.

My mistake is I get caught when I ride by myself as I am easy target and I get caught when I think I am cruising and not when bang out or do stupid stuff with others.   >:(

How do you guys bring it under control when you ride.  I have been riding my M620 2004 since 2004 and you would think after 34K miles I would know better.

Unlike other friends of mine who boast that they will not stop, I will stop  ( well in a group ride, I will split in different direction and have done it before and got away with it but if he comes after me, I am stopping) .  No bike is worth a felony and hence affect livelihood!

How about going easy with the throttle and stay within 10mph of the speed limit.  Going 83 on 55, after 3 tickets already, was probably not the smartest thing for you to.  Slow down and stay safe out there!

Ride one gear lower than you normally do, that will help keep your speeds down.

Tickets suck !

I feel for you.

All you can say is 83 felt and looked like 63 on your speedometer.

Good luck.                                                   Dolph              :)

Do the take 10% off automatically like they do here ?
Are you aware that your speedo is showing 8-10% more than you are going in reality (gps measure)  ?
If I am combining those two you had 100 on the speedo in a 55 area...
Thats well worth a ticket or four and you deserve it  [evil]
If you are doing more than 50% over the limit they just take your bike in some places here...
But on the other hand there are still travel agencies offering trips to the German autobahn.
you even can rent a R1 or other rice rocket and go 300 and above...just as often as you like  [moto]

are all your tickets for speed?
Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

I taped a picture of my two girls in the center of my speedo to kind of remind me of what I needed to get home to.  My issue wasn't speeding as much as acting stupid on the back roads.  Maybe if you tape a copy of your insurance bill on your tank?

Not sure where you live, but a friend of mine lost his drivers license for a while because of tickets on his bike.  (the last was a 125 in a 45 though)  I'd say you should slow down and enjoy the scenery before the long arm of Johnny PoPo ( [leo]) puts you on a Vespa!

Good luck in court!

Doesn't Ohio have the death penalty for speeding?

Dude, if you're on a highway - just pace yourself by the flow of traffic, and just make sure you're not the fastest thing out there.

You should be glad you don't live in my state (VA) 80+ is an automatic reckless charge in addition to the speeding fine.  Unless you'd done traffic school, you'd be on the hook to loose your license about now.

In ohio, 20 or 25 over is reckless, but I think the police have leeway to write for that rather than it being automatic. I can't imagine a judge being too kind with 4 tickets in one year. Good luck!!
