I better make my escape plan out of OH then if death penalty is in effect for speeding  ;D

True, I thought I learned my lesson after the 3rd tickets.  Yes, they were all for speeding. On two occasions when I thought I was cruising and just didn't realize the speed (87,80).  As for the other 2 occasions, I deserved it.  I had to get a lawyer and get the speed reduced from 105 to 80 because the other rider charge was reduced from 105 to 80.  I pleaded other court fine and fee but no point.
Ofcourse, I forgot to mention I got pulled over about a week ago for red light.  I waited to make left turn 3 cycles of the light and finally just went on red and he pulled me over but he let me go with a warning.
My rider friends are starting to  ;D as I am cop magnet and ofcourse because I stop for the  [leo]  (not worth a felony)

I am not proud of this but rather I am mad at myself because i have been going on country road rides (Route 555 and Route 26 in OH) and enjoy the curves and avoid the whole hassle of the [leo].  Of course it takes about 1 hour to 2 to get to this routes.   I was on the reformed rider mode when this happen again.

I will take the idea of [somegirl] "Ride one gear lower than you normally do, that will help keep your speeds down."

All I know is that it is extremely hard to ride the speed limit all the time but I have to discipline myself when I ride by myself or simply not ride by myself and do my group ride and take my chance.

As for my insurance, it has not changed when I renewed after the 3rd ticket last season.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

As for track day, too expensive for my blood.  I simply can not afford it.  I would love to try it out someday.  I realize it is cheaper than ticket and lawyer fee but how often can one do track day?

Well, the good thing is I live 5 miles from work and by coincidence bought a used bicycle (Schwinn Peloton)that morning and may be forced to start bicycling to work  ;)  and hopefully get back to shape :-)

How many tickets do you fellow riders have so far?

620M 2004 Dark i.e.; ~ 57K miles (all me);  Looking to swap out engine now.
Triumph Speed Triple 2006 (now ~ 44K miles bought @ 4K miles on 04/2010)
Honda Grom 2015 ~ 3500miles so far.  Love this lil bike

That sucks to hear about all the tickets, I can relate.  I went for about 11 years without being pulled over, then over the past two I've been pulled over 4 times, one for a 30 in a 25 about .5 a mile from my house and the most recent for rolling stop.  I know I didn't because at that stop, it's a sharp dip, and my car needed a full stop to keep from scraping on that one.  I was on my way to the hospital, my dad just had a heart attack.  Cop was a prick.  When I got to the hospital, I saw the same cop with someone else pulled over in the hospital parking lot.  My dad mentioned to me that he was pulled over by the same cop for running a red, which he said he didn't.  City and County budgets are tighter these days, so the only thing they can do for additional revenue generation is ticket enforcement.  As a friend recently said, their motto went from "to protect and serve" to "to ticket motorists and generate revenue."

My advice, FWIW, is to slow down ... I've found myself just hang out with traffic more now when in the car and bike and just taking my time.  Just not in much of a hurry anymore.

How much have you paid in fines and lawyer costs?

You should be able to get on the track for four days for less. ;)

As far as abiding by the posted limit, there are places to wick it up and places where you're just begging for a ticket.

+1.  Just one thing to add though, and I hope this doesn't cross the line w/ regards to "Cop Talk" -- police officers are people like you and me, and I've noticed that with a few exceptions if you treat them with courtesy and respect, you're fine.  I've gotten pulled over on my Monster bombing through little towns in southern NH (where I admittedly should have slowed down) and have gotten pulled over, only to have a great chat about bikes, the weather, etc.  Pulling over immediately, shutting down your bike, getting off it, and taking off your helmet and being friendly go a long way.

Act like a punk or a tough guy? Have fun with that.  Want to evade the cops and scatter off?  Have fun with that.  You're not faster than a Motorola.

Anyhoo, as a few other posters have stated, don't speed on the highway - just go with the flow of traffic.  I generally hang out in the " slow " lane since that's the lane least likely to be in the sweep of a laser patrol in the median.  I don't really see the point in bombing down the highway at intergalactic speeds anyways, unless you're in Montana or something - and then it's not really a ticket problem is it  ;D  [evil]

Are you a  [leo] [Statler]?   ;)   I realize they are people (i hope) but eventhough I am always respectful, it does not mean squat.  Some are pricks and some are not not.  I tend to think most are pricks IMHO.  I don't think the general tendency is to like  [leo] as a biker.

Yes, I had no ticket the first 3 years  and boom last year it all started going bad.

[dupainter] i think so far almost a 1K.

Have you read The Pace?  Always ride The Pace.  There are not points for straightline speed or for speeding through inhabited areas.

And get your ass to the track.  There's not a single thing you can do on the street that you can't do a billion times faster on the track.  And you get to do it each and every lap.  And without cops.

OK, at the risk of pissing off any LEOs on the board, here is my advice (not that I would EVER engage in such behavior). It only works once you've gotten to zero points however.
Change your drivers license to a neighboring state NOW.
Get the charge reduced as much as possible so you MIGHT be able to go to school in the new state and wipe it off your record - most states allow you to do this once every 3 years.
Each time you get a new ticket, go to school and switch your licence back and forth to stay within 1 ticket in 3 years.
Buy and use a good radar detector. I like the Valentine because it shows you what direction and how many are on you.
If you choose to run, get a police scanner so you can track their movements. Find sympathetic people on your favorite routes that will let you "go to ground" well off the road.
Good luck.
