Isn't it about our 1 year?

I thought so, going thru some files this morning, I ran across one of my last avatars on TOB.

Although this board is only one year old and I had only joined about 5 months ago, I would have to say that this is one of the best online community I have been one.  The information available and the eagerness to help of the members are just awesome.  Since non of my friends and family ride a bike, there is no way I can maintain and upkeep my Monster without all your support.  Happy early birthday, DMF and wish there is many more years to come!   [clap]

the only thing i remember about last 5/5 was that it was our birthday official coming out party here

the rest of the day remains a blur, with flashes of red and black, with lime...

I don't think of it as a one year anniversary.  This community has been around for a decade(?) now, just in a coupla different places.

Cuz the DML died.  It's bittersweet.  Cuz make the beast with two backs VS, but we all (you and I and many others) spent a lot of time making the DML what it was, and then a lot of time trying to preserve it while the Canadians make the beast with two backsed it up.  I was originally excited when the DMF was hatched (luckily(?) I'd highsided and had weeks to spend on the couch working on the computer ;D).  But I always hoped-unrealistically--it would be an insurance policy.  When months later--May 5 to be precise--the switch was flipped, it made me sad.  Because it meant we'd failed to keep the community together in one place.  We lost some folks along the way and a lot of work and cataloged knowledge.  Like I said, it's a bittersweet memory.

I'm glad we're here though.  It's a good place and we'll just keep doing what we were doing a year ago.  [thumbsup]  And I remember spending the eve of May 5 having "Watch Rome burn" drinks at Zeitgeist with Michael Moore (new DMF folks won't know who that is) and Drunken Monkey.  That's a great memory.   [drink]

I'm sure happy we're here.

Even better than when we were there.

I was lost but now am found !

The CDC was scary !

So glad Silentbob turned me on to the DMF after the DML blew up.

It's been a fast year.

Thanks to the Flounders for their " magic ."       Dolph            :)

That was a strange time indeed. One of the weird things about it was how far reaching the word got out on the webs. I found people on legal forums who had heard about the schism.

Anyways it's been a good thing. Thanks to the Flounders and members as a whole for an entertaining and informative year [beer]
