Picked up my new (secondhand) car ,think it is a litle small for you guys but i like it
It's a Smart Brabus

El Matador

There's a video somewhere of some guys who fitted that with a turbo busa engine...

That thing out raced a ferrari in the quarter mile...

I drove a regular one for a bit, they're a barrel of laughs... Not that comfortable tho... And one thing you'll love is that gas consumption, it gets like 50 miles to the gallon right?

Howie

Congrats!  We expect a full review of that hot rod.

Now that they're legal here in the U.S., we drove one about 6 weeks ago, with an eye towards trading in the wifes X-ler 300. The tranny took 3-4 seconds to shift up, the thing leaned like a bread truck in corners, and we decided that even at double the mileage of the 300, it wasn't worth the hassle. We ended up with a Mini cooper. 34 MPG, and my wife loves it.
I expect that yours is probably a different animal, Brabus is known for quality speed mods. and you don't have to deal with the U.S. restrictions.

With oil heading to $200 per barrel, it's a smart move (no pun intended).

I also wouldn't mind some brabus parts on my car... ;D

I love those things, man!

I drove one in France from Lyon to Chalon sur Saone and it was a blast!  I'm a big guy and I was very comfortable in it.  Air condition, stereo, the works.  Mileage is unbelielable (who needs a hybrid?).

Good for you.

Nice! One of my favourite small cars. The Brabus ForFour also goes very nicely!  [thumbsup]

Not sure if the fuel economy is that great:

from smartusa.com:

"Fuel consumption*
City/highway (mpg)    40/45 (EPA 2007); 33/41 (EPA 2008)

*Fuel economy estimates were derived in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) vehicle testing procedures for model year 2008 as specified in 40 C.F.R. pts. 86 and 600 (2007). These estimates are intended for comparison between other vehicles within the same class. Individual drivers' actual mileage will vary depending on how they drive and maintain their vehicles."

And, it requires premium (91 Octane in the US) fuel.
