RED DEVIL PROPELLED WITH LOUD DESMO~~FIRE~~

« Reply #1920 on: October 07, 2013, 05:21:03 AM »

My first time getting the rear wheel on the 1098 out... Huh? I need to ride more or hit the gym more, turned my face blue if not purple! I had to use my torque wrench setting at 230ftlb reversed, yes not 230Nm to get the damn beast of a nut to spin...Whoever fixed my rear wheel last time did get the units messed! Its out and I'm getting some new Dunlop Q3's on and ready to hit Roebling Road...Cant wait to see my data logger after half a day! waytogo

I got rain soaked in tropical blast cleaning my chain outside the garage, it warned for two secs before a bucket fell! Anyway, alternating between GP gearing on the SV and standard on the 1098 has me for a fool...It sounded like my 1098 engine ran out of oil and with oil blinker ON and some random Alphabets on the dash...had me sweating more than rain drench, ah well..it was trying to start the bike from stall at 6th gear! I need to ride more... coffee laughingdp

Barb and I were thinking of dinner at the best Italian restaurant we've found here, Ill Torinao, Friday night. I will make reservations, if anyone else is interested.

Screw Machete....we're in!  Where and when?  We've never been to that restaurant so this could be a learning experience.

Gee I'm sorry I missed that. We love that place. Been there a few times. My bad, didn't check to see what was up. Ended up at nexus brewery and had a great time. Next time!

Back in NY for crisp northeastern  autumn days. There's always stuff to do here this time of year- clean up leaves, sail the old sloop to the boatyard for winter storage.

Great trip to ABQ, though I was busy with work most of the time. So, we're coming back for a few weeks the week after Thanksgiving. As usual, it will be fun to catch up with you all.

If I get myself organized, I will ship my '01 Monster from here to ABQ.

Torinos@home, where we ate, was featured on the Food Channel's "Diners, Drive Ins and Dives' with the insufferable Guy Fieri. I got hungry just watching Daniella's husband prepare the squid-ink pasta.

If anyone is interested, there is an MV Agusta F4 1000 on ebay right not.  It is located in Santa Fe and opening bid is $6500.  So far it has no bids.
