did u see this shit stew??

Drawing was 2 hours ago. TONS of people where there. Hayden pulled Jeffrey Jones of San Luis Obispo, CA. He wasn't there so Hayden called him on the phone - didn't answer so Nicky left him a message. Pretty good message, "Hey man, this is Nicky Hayden. You just won a Desmosedici! This isn't one of your friends messing with you either!"

The high def video is being edited now and will be up before morning.

From my vantage point.

On the way back down N14 after the Crest we all got passed by this guy.. and the only thing I could think of was "yeah u know I gots ta ride witout mah helmet so all da fine ass hood rat honeyz can check out my beautiful face yo!" "Oh this jacket? yeah its my parka, its thick and make me look like I'm built, I figure since its so poofy it'll make crashin hurt less, but u know, I aint gonna crash none cause I'm dope shit yo!"   bang head
Stew, Krys, Matt... Tell me you know who I'm talking about..  If you saw him, you know you couldn't help but laugh to yourself as he rode by..
that will be all.

Yup, not only did we see him, but his 'dope ass' rode S14 same as us.  We stopped at the bottom to let a gap develop, then I stopped once before the mailboxes (forgot where we normally stop), so by the time we rode by they 'dope asses', they were laughing & pointing thinking that we were really that slow yo...  F'n squids.

A couple of points......

1)  They're squids.  Who cares what they think?
2)  Just 'cause they're squids doesn't mean they're not fast.  There are fast squids.  They typically don't last as long as slow squids.  Wonder if there's a correlation?
3)  Ride your ride, ESPECIALLY in the presence of squids.  Don't let the tentacles flapping within your field of vision blind you to the truth that riding outside of YOUR comfort zone is folly.
4)  You know it's not a race.  I know it's not a race.  The squids think it's a race (just in case you care what the squids are thinking).  See #3 above for clarification.
5)  Fast squids are still squids.  Squids will take you out (and take themselves out in the process) to "win".
6)  They're squids.  Who cares what they think?

I could give a rat's ass less what someone who cares so little about himself as to ride at any real pace without reasonable safety precautions thinks.  In fact, I'd just as soon not have anyone I care about even remotely associated with these unsafe, uncaring, unsophisticated, pieces of crap.  Do me a favor and steer clear of classless losers of this ilk.  I'd hate to think that one of you got hurt, or worse killed, over someone like this.

I've tried to educate these types on several occasions to be laughed at and ridiculed.  In fact, I was called a pussy by a squid who berated me for caring, then turned around and mounted his Gixxer to wad it seconds later doing a stand-up wheelie out of the parking lot.  I always wondered if he felt foolish lying in the hospital missing half his skin with a sizeable chunk missing from his face (he wore a skid lid, as Tennessee has a helmet law...so he HAD to wear something...it probably saved his miserable life).  Next time I saw him he had given up riding because it was "too dangerous".  I asked him which of us was the real pussy, as I've wadded several times to his once, and of course he had to admit that leathers aren't so stupid after all.  Unfortunately, the only way most of these invulnerable idiots learn is by serious injury.  Don't let them learn at your expense!

That's my 2 cents worth....plus a little change.

It just further proves the theory of Natural Selection.  The smart shall survive and live on.   [moto]  It always makes me happy to know that everyone on here rides safe and well geared up.

Yep, hate to admit it but I'm a bit snobbish as to who I'll ride with. I never did go riding with my ex-brother-in-law. He wrecked more than he rode, I honestly wanted to teach him some things but he was incapable of riding within his limits. I know he ran into other riders on several occassions too.... nice kid just kinda scary.

Another thing to remember about riding in your limits: limits should be constantly reassessed though out the day.

I'm not as sharp when I hop on as I will be an hour into the ride. Nor will I be as shrp after 4hrs of riding as I was when I was an hour in.

Who am I the Dhali-lama? We all know this, carry on.  cheeky

Negative, Ghostrider.....you're not the Dhali-lama.....you're the Dahli-goat.  Or is it the Dhali-alpaca?  Where's Lance when you need him?  I'll bet he could figure this out.   Evil

BTW, I'm still waiting the return of your quiz and 3-page essay so I can ascertain whether or not I will or will not ride with you.  Those were due last week, but I'll give you an extra few days.  Just be sure they're turned into me by Ouray.  Grin

I agree buddy...  Certain people, this homie will *not* roll with.  Fortunately, that's no-one in the NMMR crew!
