I know the elitist euro crowd doesn't care about races that only turn left, or, do I dare say it here? Drag racing  Shocked  But the Chili Bowl (Sprint cars at their best) from Tulsa is on Speed Channel now.
...Supercross (they turn both ways) is on @ 6. But Ducati is not represented, so....  coffee

For the record, Europeans don't have anything against Nascar or drag racing.....they just get dizzy easily and haven't figured out how to run fast in high heels applause Grin laughingdp

That's hilarious Karl.  Not the racing part, but you in Pams shoes.  cheeky And yeah, funny thing, Euros I've known like all that goofy racin'.  It's the Americans that took on a huge motorcycle payment that now think they're "2 cool for school".

For the record on my end... The race was make the beast with two backsin' awesome!!!

Edit: I think they call themselves Ducatista's.   17yrs. off & on in DFW area (born in Fort Worth) & high school in Northern NM, The only time I may have seen that word was on a Pizza Inn/Hut menu.

I'd be curious if they change up the super bike model in 2012.  Since 07 the x98 really hasnt changed a ton.  They added a slipper (welcome to this century Ducati) and traction control....but the rest has really been more marketing bling (limited edition paint).

All the scuttlebutt is that there will, indeed, be a replacement for the xx98 model out later this year for use in racing as a 2012 model.  Rumors point to a twin, still 90° vee, but with the cylinders rotated rearward 90° from their current positions so that the engine can move forward, and with VERY oversquare bore/stroke dimensions....like 2:1, with a rev ceiling approaching 20k in racing trim and 17k in street trim, churning out well over 200 hp.

Keep an eye out!

Maybe I'm just not seeing the thread, or it was sent in PM's, but, Dylan just told me there is a release party at the (your) dealership tonight @5:30.

Scott, I'd imagine you posted it here somewhere.

And while I'm on this thread...Kawboy!!! Where are you?...Damnit! I need someone to go on a ride that crosses a state line with....or at least three counties.  I did do Tombestone, Bisbee (to see my buddy & custom builder Pat Kennedy) Tucson & up through Show low recently, & felt like I left the country.  laughingdp  FYI: The 82mls of twisties were as clean as the last trip a few of us took.
