different kinds schools

So im interested in getting some further instruction, not sure if advance riding techniqes or a track day is more up my alley.  the only thing is i really dont want to ride my bike if its a racing school, i would rather beat on someone elses till i know what im doing.  does anyone know of anything in the chicagoland area?
