Found this stuff a couple of years ago, and I won't put anything else in any of my cars anymore.
Truly  [bacon] worthy.

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Same here, I tell everyone I know about it.  Makes me use my wipers about half as much.

FYI, don't put it in a VW or Audi with headlight washers, it corrodes the internal pumps.

There's a summer version that helps remove bug splatters and a winter version that helps melt ice.  [thumbsup]

Is that just VW/Audi, or any headlight washer? I put it in the MINI Cooper, and that uses the same reservoir for headlights and windshield. I'd hate to think I was screwing up the headlight washers.

I don't know about Coopers, In all honesty depending on what year VW/Audi you're probably going to have to replace the pump anyways.  They are shit.  You'll probably be okay.

I've been told you can also rub a cut potato over your windscreen and it'll do the same thing.

And also someone has told me you can polish the windscreen and wait till it dries, then wipe off.

I have not tried either to prove otherwise.  ???

Really?

this is news to me. granted I don't use the Rain x stuff (I just buy ZEP washer stuff concentrated 3, 5 gallon containers at a time)

I really don't replace very many pumps. the seal between the pump and resoviour, or the plastic connectors yes, but pumps. its probably been 2 years since I've had to replace a pump.

metallimonster

Well, its been about 1.5 years since I've worked at the Audi dealership.

Maybe it depends on where you are.

I know I replaced about a pump (headlight) a week for being corroded on 00-05 A4's.

The gaskets always leak.
