Wow, really?  Knock a guys bike over because you got snubbed?  That's pretty hardcore.

Not me. Another riding friend. A 'fellow rider' bashed his choice of Honda dirtbikes for racing, and was abrasive about it. We paid for our food and left. He planted his boot mid tank and it toppled over. I was in disbelief.

I didn't feel too bad, because the brotherly love was not there, and the blue bike was hideous to begin with.

My answer is always "Hey, you don't put that much effort into a bike unless you like attention. No worries."

Drunken Monkey admits to being an attention whore??  [cheeky] ;D
Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)

I've been riding bikes for a very long time and I've seen a dramatic change in the Ducati owner demographic. Especially in the past 5 years or so.

In what way?
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

j/k, i hope i never become that guy.  But what can you do, some people are just anti-social.

Popeye the Sailor

I ride a monster. I'm not your friend.

Not sure what the issue is.

Big Troubled Bear

Unfortunately the same applies overhere in South Africa, People that can afford most new Ducati`s are in the upper echelon of money earners.
They mostly come across as A-holes.
The rest of us are a-holes................................

I might get slammed for this, but most guys I've talked to on SBKs have been d!cks. Granted, I ride a lowly 620 with matching tank dents and am probably not worthy to look at, let alone own a 1098 or whatever. But, when I'm at a spot hanging out and the local 'Busa club riders are a lot nicer than the Duc SBK guys, it makes me sad. It's all about the same ride, no matter what you ride.

I have a really nice S4 (in my opinion) and I love talking to everyone out there. Hell, I will talk to a guy on an enduro for hours given the time and an interesting fellow. But I have for sure been blown off by my fair share of riders, even ducati owners.

Its funny how you can totally tell in 15 seconds whether someone (with a ducati) actually knows sh!t about their bike or the companies or whether they spent dads money on hte newest and latest bike. I had a guy with a 1098 come up to me outside a coffee shop last year and ask me why my clutch was sooo loud. I was fricken speachless  [roll] . So I spent 10 min. talking to him and filling him in. He replied with "I dont like that at all".

WTF.
About the same time you're dragging your knees through a series of tight left-right-handers on Sunday afternoon, some guy in white shoes is sweating a 3-foot putt. Go figure.

JDS 07 S4Rs

Hey Johnster,,,,,thats unfortunate. Gives me the impression that he might think a little highly of himself & bike. He could have said thanks.
Sometimes hard to have a conversation while a bike is running,, would be his only defence.

Really?  That's an interesting statement.  I'd like to hear your opinion.

Don't sweat any of it.

If you are riding twisties, it's hard to be focused on what some CH thinks of you.

If you are just using your bike to get to the bar on Tuesday nights, then maybe you deserve it.

If the other guy is also just showing up at a bar on Tuesday nights, then he is probably a loser too.

I know of a guy who bought a 999s which is has about 800 miles on the odo and is sitting under a tarp on the sidewalk in front of his apartment building.  He goes outside and starts it up once a month or so.  I tried to get him to sell it but he's convinced he's a biker and "will ride it"..  whatever man.

Don't forget folks.. There are bikers and then there are people who happen to own a bike.  Not the same thing.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

For all we know the guy had to take a major dump, so he couldn't stick around to chat  [laugh]

that's just you, some people are still embarrassed at pooping.  i would have just farted loudly and mimed reading a newspaper.

maybe he could buy a copy of "Everyone Poops" and leave it on his bike?

OR the "Nobody Poops But You".
What is coming out of you is concentrated evil.
