I'm thinking of removing the plastics on my 696. Which means the emissions canister will have no where to hide.  My question is, what are my odds on being busted for this?  Is it something  [leo] is actually looking for?  Or will they mostly say "nice bike" and let me roll?

Figured i'd post this here in soCal because you know, this is where i ride, and where it's less than legal to do what i'd like to do.

Yeah, figured i'd keep it in a box with my stock mufflers (once i get my boomtubes) for the eventuality of that day.

I guess I shouldn't condone breaking any laws... but it was the first thing I did. [cheeky]

Thanks all, thinking of doing it when i install my oil cooler (whenever it shows up.)  One fell swoop kind of deal.  Make a day of it (and cleaning, chain lube, etc.)
