So I had a phone call the other day went something like this

Bike shop: Hey Vince you desmo’s here waytogo

Me: Yeh that good but I don’t want it yet I said deliver it in December  Roll Eyes

Bike shop: Oh that right. But would you take it any earlier Huh?

Me: Nah got heaps off traveling to do between now and then [moto]

So my travel plans have been canceled am now thinking should I take up the offer and pick it up early or wait until the weather gets better and they get better at building them??? Undecided

There is also an economic reason waiting until December, I only need to finance 1/3 of the cost in December where I would need finance 1/2 the cost now.

Personally I never take an early model anything.
You never know by December they may even include a hugger as standard if enough customers ark up.
Choice is ultimately yours 20 odd k is a big enough difference in finance and interest.

but if you want to dive in you know we'll all support you with any offer of sleep overs we can.
Can you get a good look at WF's bike at Frasers, as in under the skin that might help you make up your mind as to build quality.

I dunno, might just be talking crap also.

No, my garage is much bigger.

I can't make your mind up for you, but, sounds to me like it's a customer's bike that they haven't got the balls to pay for it. Or they realised they can't afford it.

It won't be any different in December, get it now and it will be waiting for you when you come back from your travels. Something to look forward to after working hard. Grin

Super I have a 1300 square mtr warehouse so a place to put it wont be a problem .It will be living in my office when im not riding it .

I also had the impression it was a cancellation ,But im in no hurry as I enjoy my current Ducati’s, but it would be nice to have it for my track day in August .

The current deliveries are having some teething problems at the moment so getting it in December will more than likely sort them out waytogo

Yeah this is what I'm thinking that it is such a high performance machine that teething problems will be part of early ownership.
Just read the general board and see all the issues the new 696 owners are having.

I sort of figured you would have a bigger space than me.  Tongue

But it would look much nicer being looked after while you are away.

It will be lonely in that big warehouse.  Wink

Is that the same as the bloke who wrote in AMCN of a D16 in the RNP?

Stopped at Bald Hill? Is Halfway House another name for Bald Hill?
