Dealers and mechanics are all the same.......instead of taking the time to correctly diagnose a problem, they just take advantage of your nievety and will keep taking your money until you finally scream 'no more!'

That's one crazy story Big.
Well I just built my bridge and mono'd over it!!! The oil is changed, the sump plug magnet was clean, the bike sounds and runs beautifully and Im never going back there. I will be asking for everyones recomendation when it comes time to do the valves. But that will be a while of yet.

Sooner than you think, my recommendation is either Gowanloch or Flywheels. [thumbsup]

BigIan, interesting story and one day I would be interested in the Frasers story.

For me, I have had Rob from Flywheels do all the work on my bike I don't do myself. As with Big, I use 5100 Motul (on Rob's advice and for the same reasons listed by BigIan) and change the oil every 3-4k.

The only other person to work on my bike has been George from Frasers - good news that he is now at Flywheels [thumbsup]

Oh, in the answer to the original question, looks like a YES.

Your oil and filter must be be changed at 1000 k's.

I have the workshop manual and that is what it says!
