Odd front brake pad wear

I recently had my front end apart and was looking at the front brake pads.  I've got an '03 800Dark with about 10k miles, twin front rotors and Brembo calipers, original stock pads.  All of the pads were a little worn, none past the cuts in the material.  One pad on the left was worn much more than the others.  I gave a few squeezes on the brake lever and the pistons on that pad all seemed to move in and out, so no obvious binding/sticking.

Is this unusual?  Does it necessarily mean something is wrong?  Any thoughts?  Should I rebuild the calipers or anything?

Thanks for your input,
Scott

Maybe that caliper is not floating properly?

Both my 996 and my monster show some uneven pad wear

Doesn't seem right, but I don't think it warrants much investigation.

As long as you're sure everything is free and working I'd ride it.

As always YMMV.
