(Another?) Oil Change Video for M696

Hello,

Did my first (600ish) mile oil change today on my 09 M696.  So I've decided to make a video out of it mostly for fun.  I wanted to try iMovie. 

Ca-Cycleworks got a pretty good one on general motorcycle oil change.  But I don't think there's Monster 696-specific video for oil change yet (not that it's very different).  And I haven't seen oil change video that covers removal of the oil pick up screen on the Ducatis either.   So this covers both points and I can justify posting it here.     I also try to be detailed.  Hope this helps out more Duc owners out there a bit more.  Only real special tool I had on-hand was a Ducati filter wrench that makes it easy to remove / install the filter.  Forgot where I got that from tho.  Duh...

If you want to be totally anal you could put clean oil on the new filter gasket and fill the filter 3/4 of the way with new oil (mentioned by the demonstrator)

Is it just me or the engine seems to run noticably smoother after the first oil change?  Good thing I guess, but not sure if it's just only in my head.

Just did this, along with installing an oil cooler (so proud of myself for that).

I only got about three and a quarter quarts in and it's at the top line bordering on over (and didn't go down after running it, hard to tell exactly as it's tough to know when the bike is exactly perpendicular).  Maybe i should have had it on a stand when i drained the oil?  I let it drip dry and stood it up off the kickstand to get it even, but apparently i didn't get the thing empty?  Am i in danger of having too much oil in?
