The most beautiful of Ferrari's sold at auction for $12,156,252 setting a new world record for most expensive car sold at auction. Just look at it though, if you had that much money, wouldn't you want this jewel as the crown of your collection? It's number 4 of only 21 with the Scaglietti designed pontoon fender body which makes it more rare than the 36 Ferrari 250 GTO's ever made.

Absolutly perfect.  [thumbsup]

nice looking ride  [thumbsup]

Never really understood the point of car collecting, but to each their own.

If I could afford a Ferrari (new one, not old), I would drive the snot out of it. If I can afford the car, I can afford to fix it.

Check out the mirror. It makes a Dynamic D  with the reflection ;D

I would def buy that car in a heartbeat. But I would much rather restore and build it myself.

Wired has a nice write up on the sale of a Scaglietti-designed  300 hp V12 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa (#4 of 22). Four pages of pics!  [thumbsup]

Damn.  :o

Only thing that would make it better is if it were red.  ;)

So...does a collector drive such a car?
Depends on the collector. Used to be an investment banker in New Orleans who bought a former Le Mans winning Testa Rossa for about $6 mill. He used to drive it with the local Ferrari owners (probably only bout 6 or 7 of those around here).
