Can a plastic tank be used on a 1998 m750?

I am thinking of installing a plastic tank on my 1998 Monster M750. How hard will it be to do this mod? Thanks for your help.

is that a carbed bike?
i dont think so, but check out the thread about fuel tanks in the tech section. i honestly cant remember....but its covered there.
