I just came back from my first "shake down run" after making some mods which required me to remove and then replace the stock ECU.  When I returned and was going over all of the various fasteners to make sure that they had stayed snug to spec, I realized that my ECU was HOT.  I never payed attention to this before.  Anyone have any insight????
Thanks in advance.

Where is the ECU located? The dealer just told me that mine is fried. I think I want to replace it myself if I can.

ECU is located under the tank. With the front wheel facing foward, it is on the right side of the battery. Simple plug and play.

and your ECU is suppose to be hot. Its an electrical device that has power running through it (your laptop gets hot for the same reason). How hot are we talking though? you touche it and you burned your finger? or its like a hot shower hot?

Makes perfect sense.  It was shower hot, not wood burning stove hot.
