I thought I'd share the results of my stock rearsets after I got a hold of them with a grinder.  Also, I included a picture at the end of the stock turn signals but they've been pulled in about 1-1/2" toward the headlight on both sides.  If you remove the signal you'll find that the plastic piece between the headlight and signal is a separate piece.  I just pulled that out, got a shorter M5 screw from Lowe's and put it back together without the plastic piece.

Well done, but don't you need a heel guard now? (exposed chain and swingarm)

That's in the works.  I'm drawing something up to give to the local machine shop.  Hopefully they aren't too busy, it makes me nervous riding with the chain exposed that way.

You know, there are guys on this board who make carbon fiber stuff?

No, can't say that I did.  Do you know anyone specifically?  I'd love to give it a shot.

It could be El Matador, but I could also be wrong - why don't you ask in a specific thread  [thumbsup]

My guess is that a machined piece of aluminum will be cheaper, so it all depends on how cool a custom made carbon fiber piece will look 8)
